Now playing this highly underrated album.

Just finished reading this book and it makes me glad I'm not on FB. Not only is it a refuge for the far right in this country it's also run by the biggest bunch of c***s ever to stalk the planet, with Zuckerberg the biggest of them all. A must read for anyone who thinks big tech are the good guys.

Until this beauty came out hip hop had left me cold. Maybe it was their clever sample of Steely Dan that did it for me. Still sounds great nearly forty years later. 'Eye Know' is the top track for me, obviously. #80s #hiphop #oldskool #delasoul

For me this is THE album of 1989; the one that started my near 40 year love affair with this band. I'm showing it in its original cover. Every track is pure brilliance but for me 'Stone Cold Sober' and 'When I Want You' are the best. #80s #indie #delamitri

After the high of 1985, the rest of the 80s seemed to be pestering out as far as great albums were concerned but thanks to the emergence of dance music 1989 would prove to be a great year. Another killer cut from New Order. Top tracks -'Mr Disco', 'Vanishing Point' and 'Run'. #80s #indie #dance

Another album that soundtracked 1985 for me. For me 'Faron Young' is still one of the best opening tracks of all time. For me, it sits just behind 'Thunder Road' in the all-time greats list. Fave track though is 'Moving the River'.

As someone who hasn't given Mick Hucknall much house room since the early 1990s it's been great to return to an album that meant a lot to me back in the day. A masterpiece of a debut by an artist who had yet to get high on his own supply. Credit where credit's due. #80s #blueeyedsoul #simplyred

Can't believe it's forty years since this classic album became the soundtrack to my summer. What's your choice cuts? For me it's got to be 'Sunrise'. Absolute belter. 'Elegia' comes a very close second. For my money, this is probably New Order's moodiest album. #80s #indie #neworder #postpunk

Well, it's the first morning of the rest of my life. I'm stoma-free, and even more remarkably, pain-free. Hopefully, I'll get something light to eat today and put this replumbing job to the test. #NHS

Currently working on my third #Subbuteo book. I really should tell my publisher about it though. 😂 #PitchPublishing

Spent a lazy afternoon listening to some of my old LPs. Sound quality is shite but the memories are fantastic! #albumart #vinyl

Reading this brilliant book. We urgently need a grown up debate about the future of this very divisive educational policy. Something more than progressives being accused of practising the 'politics of envy' would be a great starting point.

To all incels out there (and to paraphrase your hero Jordan Peterson) - tidy your f*****g bedroom and play Subbuteo. It's better for the soul than listening to twats like Andrew Tate and hating women.

Playing this today in remembrance of Rick Buckler. No album spoke to a 12 year-old kid from an Aberdeen council estate like 'All Mod Cons' did. The Fab Three did more than any politician to shine a light on the anarchy and decay of 1970s Britain. RIP Rick, your drumming lives on.
