Btw-if you blow off the cardamom or the rose water, not even worth it, just make a cinnamon roll. Seriously this is as much about fragrance as flavor✌️

Not ALL of it, but most. You don’t want to pour it right on top cuz it will get soggy. Down the slices and around the edges. Leave about 1/3 for serving or just pour it out.

Oven should be preheated to 325 (so sorry, that shoulda been up front). Bake at 325 for like 20 min. Crank to 400. Cook for another 15. Puffy and brown? Pull it. Pour the syrup into the cuts, 4/

Phyllo-in your frozen section. Thaw in the fridge. You’ve done that, now open the pack, lay it out flat.

Brush a 9X13 pan, or similar with your clarified/rendered butter. Lay 2 sheet down(be careful) do it again 6 times.

Take 1/3 of the nut mix and lay it in. Spread it. 4 more sheets of pastry 3/

Sugar, -that’s the filling. 3C ground nuts, 1/2 C white sugar, 2 TBSp brown sugar, 1 TBS Ground Cardomom. DO NOT FORGET THIS

Syrup: 2 C white Sugar 1.25 C water. Boil then simmer. Do not continue boiling. 10 minutes at least, can be 20. 2 TBSp Rose Water. DO NOT FORGET THIS

Have you ever made a dish w/phyllo (or Filo) dough before? If not there are other steps including a boatload of butter that needs to be rendered. If you have, the recipe is simple. If you haven’t you’ll need more time.
