Yeah, there was never a more direct route between Mobile and Pensacola than via Atmore (ex-Frisco). The 1945 Official Guide has the Sunnyland's Pensacola section carded for 1 hour 35 minutes, and that's just to Atmore. The other option is via Flomaton, and that was 70-80 minutes in 1945.

TIL where Blake Anderson wound up. Hum. Not sure I'd want him in that position after how Utah State shook out.

If what Nicole's reporting is true that's just indefensible.

We _probably_ wouldn't; he coached in-state at two lower-tier schools AND at Notre Dame. Grand Valley might not be disqualifying, but CMU and ND probably are.

Which is also how I learned that the Michigan bus from Toledo accepts passengers from the 48 and will be held if it's late. Should anyone ever find themselves in that situation, the Green Lantern diner is two blocks away and opens at 6 AM.

I think ND was unfairly snubbed and the ACC needs to get its crap together.

That said, c'mon fellas.

You might have been in the room? That's the right timeframe. Ben and Megan were definitely there.

I have one station that I've curated off-and-on for fifteen years and I've actually found a lot of artists that way. You do have to keep an eye on it.

I really don't understand the argument against it. What, too much football? Cannibalizes the bowls? Because that ship has sailed. Bowls are dead. Conference championship games are about to die. The selection process makes everyone mad. Either do this, or split the G5/6 into its own playoff.

Joke's on me I guess.

I haven't been this mad about a football thing since "hands to the face" (2018 Lions/Packers MNF in Lambeau). I'm not even a Notre Dame fan. It stinks, and seeing people trying to defend it as a principled outcome makes it worse. It's okay, we know it's not. Sigh.
