I feel like using autism as an insult is pretty disgusting. I wholeheartedly agree that he’s an asshole, but we need to focus on actual behaviors, not stereotyping and using medical conditions to ridicule and insult.

I’m genuinely curious who you believe is being racist toward whom? The homeowner is a young black man. The “pranksters” appear to be a group of white young men.

Are you asking why victimized, indoctrinated children would confide in a trusted religious leader instead of defying their parents and going to independently make a police report?

Because that sounds a lot like victim blaming, which is exactly what keeps most victims from ever speaking at all.
