Do you mean the position of the node on the screen? A lot of games do just hard-code it.

There are algorithms for drawing node graphs and some collision-based techniques, but the overhead is rarely worth it for something that will be static during gameplay

I found Godot to be a good starting point. The documentation is way more accessible and I think the program is easier to learn.

After I learned a bit of Godot, stuff in Unreal made wayyy more sense

The messaging here makes it sound like supporting linux is a lost cause, but really the barrier is the stack you chose to invest in.

The major OSs have linux compatibility built in now, so building for linux gets you the other ones. If you're choosing a stack today, linux makes a lot of sense

I think it's kinda cool how refined smartphones have gotten. I know the stagnation is kind of a downer, but the amount of tech they keep managing to squeeze into these things is neat
