Trying to have genuine discussion, despite how adversarial you are in a lot of your posts, because trying to understand your point gave me a lot to think about.
“Surely I’m still missing the point or maybe you’re just shit at making your point to who’s meant to understand it? Are you arguing against progressive policies because they’re forced to operate in a system that was never designed to benefit marginalized groups, or are you trying to provoke discussion around why something like “healthcare for all” is “white trickle-down” because it’s rare (or unheard of) for such broad policies to address systemic inequities? If the former, right now at this moment in history, what other alternative is there in America to the progressives we have than fascism (particularly one that maintains the decorum that the pale American moderate so dearly values)? If the latter, I fear the passersby on this platform are not prepared for discussion that address issues as deeply complex as systemic racism present in ALL of American policy, particularly when the current solutions to the Orange Problem seem like: 1. Back whichever leftists have the momentum, or 2. Radical and forcefully acquired fundamental reform.” “But with how vague you are about your point, even I am still unsure if your point is “we should be discussing the racial inequality that progressive policy doesn’t address” or if it’s “Sanders is a hypocrite about money” (which to me feels maybe tone deaf and ignores how long he’s been politically fighting for leftist ideals and civil rights), or if your point is that there SHOULD be radical forcefully acquired fundamental change (which I agree with) except I can’t think of why you’d be so vague about that.”
