Also, a lot of people do not survive the Hobbesian war of all against all. I cannot stress enough that we are all so rich and pampered that we cannot and do not successfully conceive of what real conflict looks like and how many people it kills.

I graduated college in 2009 and spent the next three years unemployed, working an unpaid internship and then temping. The last half of 2008, in particular, was like watching a slo mo car crash that you're about to be a part of. Not great.

The Bears D is suspect. Lack of consistent pressure, poor tackling, and a secondary more focused on ball hawking than coverage. The turnovers have helped cover up those weaknesses but good teams can exploit them. It's a weird feeling as a Bears fan to trust the offense more than the D.

One of the common threads in the most unhinged replies to your original post is "I'm 70+ years old..." followed by the most stereotypical boomer shit imaginable. A lot of older folks are simply frothing at the mouth to make it about themselves.

So many of the replies here are almost variations of the "bean soup," phenomenon from TikTok. It would be funny if it wasn't such an indictment of people's reading comprehension and parasocial delusions. A broad observation is not an indictment of anyone personally! This isn't hard to understand!

Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are foundational to my humor. Mel Brooks is a legend.

No, it was important that you made it. Never learning from mistakes is what makes this country great and the O's are nothing if not patriots.

The ads have been all over TikTok for weeks now, which is an interesting strategy for a James L. Brooks movie.
