The whole thing is very sad. I have great American friends in Florida who I was supposed to visit next year. This is holding me back. I’m not going to the US anytime soon.

Agreed, surveillance was maybe not the most precise term (not a native English speaker). But it’s just as scary. And only one step away from real survaillance because, once they have you in sight, what keeps them from digitally following you?

Ik heb nog nooit iets gemist zonder WA. Mensen snappen je keuze en er is altijd een omweg. Als iedereen die app blijft gebruiken uit angst om iets te missen, komt er nooit beweging in de zaak. Mijn ervaring is iig dat je nooit iets mist. Mensen die iets écht met jou willen delen weten jou te vinden.

Mijn ervaring is iig dat je nooit iets mist. Mensen die iets écht met jou willen delen weten jou te vinden.
Ik heb jarenlang Spark gebruikt met veel plezier, maar dat gaat nu ook de verkerede kant op met AI en andere bullshit waar niemand op zit te wachten. Ik ben op zoek naar iets beters, maar kan nog niets vinden dus voorlopig blijf ik bij Spark. De gratis versie is bruikbaar genoeg.

Ik heb jarenlang Spark gebruikt met veel plezier, maar dat gaat nu ook de verkerede kant op met AI en andere bullshit waar niemand op zit te wachten. Ik ben op zoek naar iets beters, maar kan nog niets vinden dus voorlopig blijf ik bij Spark. De gratis versie is bruikbaar genoeg.

What strikes me is that every time this kind of news emerge everyone cries blue murder, but a few months later, similar news come along and everyone’s still on those fucking platforms.
If you use anything Meta (and that includes WhatsApp) you are complicit of this. Period.

Yo acabo de completar mi proceso de degooglización absoluta suscribiéndome a Kagi.com y no podría estar más feliz con las opciones de personalización que voy descubriendo poco a poco. La cantidad de tiempo y distracciones que me ahorro cada día vale oro para mí.
