Today on Networking Is Hard.

Started making a Game Manager for #BewareTheMimic. ATM it locks movement before all the player are loaded in, chooses a random player to be the mimic, and only enables the mimic ability on that player. It's rough but a start!

Now the Mimic can transform into any physics object and is fully controllable with great ground and wall checks :)

Also added a reticule, and objects that can be transformed into are highlighted when hovered over.

Working on the Mimic mechanic. The rooms are procedurally generated with physics objects that can be knocked around, and the Mimic can transform into them to disguise themselves. They can lock their rotation to hide better. Very similar to Prop Hunt.

Physics in a networked game is tough. Super happy with the progress though! This is on the client and the player, cube, and doors are all physics objects with client side prediction :)

Switched from #Fishnet to #Purrnet. Really needed to get physics working on the network with minimal lag and Purrnet + #Purrdiction is managing it :) The doors are physics objects and no noticeable lag between host and client ^_^

I'm making a Hide'n'Seek style asynchronous pvp game called #BewareTheMimic. Haven't done an online multiplayer game before! I'm using Fish-Net for the networking in Unity.

🤔 Did not expect #BloodEngine to work on a touchscreen. My niece (who did the voice acting) sent me this vid today. 😲

#BrackeysGameJam Day 6! Can't believe there's just over a day left.

Finished the final scene, connected all the lose ends. A lot to do on the last day. More audio, the main menu, a list of all the endings you find, better animations if there's time.
