Throwing Muses are my current benchmark for viscerally loud (I think they were touring University at the time). But yes, I too bought earplugs specifically for MBV!

Yes, no doubt emotive, but until we can be objective about the causes, then we will continue to see an overly simplistic assessment of what needs to happen, and things won’t change.

Add to that a lack of sufficient driver training, and no reported analysis of cause of accident (respect for the families of the bereaved gets in the way of identying the cause)

Border counties have a car culture, that’s an extension of that in NI. Public transport outside of daytime hours is non-existent. Enforcement of rules of the roads is patchy at best.
