Someone please tell me one goddamn good reason these aren't aired far and wide? I see these videos, they're great, but when election season rolls around it's either a) The regular republican lies, or b) crickets in states like mine that are majority red. How do we expect to change anyone's mind?

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

I keep doing it. Despite knowing the bird app is trash, filled with Nazis, cultists & millions of alt-right bots, I go on there expecting some semblance of the previous discourse. Invariably I'll find my blood pressure going up, and feel hopeless.

Then I remind myself, it's a RWNJ echo chamber now.

Back in the day lots of movie theaters had just the one screen. When theaters with more than one screen became prevalent, they started adding numbers to differentiate themselves. I remember one in a nearby town that was a "2", e.g. the NextTown 2.

20 years later there was one that was a "27".

Last 4 years when everyone was screaming at Biden and the Dems to "take the gloves off and FIGHT for us!".... yea this is what we meant. You coulda just like... done stuff, just like he's doing.

Just to be clear, the people who supported Bush invading Iraq and Afghanistan, are the same people who criticized Biden for withdrawing, are the same people who called Dems warmongers for supporting Ukraine, are the same people who now want to forcefully annex Canada, Panama and Greenland.

2 weeks in and we're already in a trade war (and potentially an energy war) with our closest allies, we're giddily mocking the memory of a US soldier who died in the line of duty just becuase was a women, and the executive branch has been illegally shut down. Enjoy MAGA world folks!
