Imagine being 18 in 2044 & learning your liberal parents said NO due to TDS.These are traditional IRAs for minors. At 18, convert to Roth IRA by rolling over the balance. You'll pay income tax on pre-tax contributions and earnings in the conversion year(s) : spread it out to minimize taxes.
