Babbling about my stupid lil deltarune fanfic/AU lmao
I. Actually started writing my DR fanfic/AU because of spores in my brain about all the darkners in chapter 3 sharing the same house & owner. There's no prophecy or gaster or knight or anything to fuck up their lives but there IS a lot of mental illness. I will probably never finish or post it anywhere Imao Anyway since I love the Mike trio I needed to think of a way for them to still exist in the same dynamic w/ Tenna if Spamton's phone guy didn't exist. What im settling on is that Spamton organically got into his big shot role without them. Simply because their owner was so bored and lonely as hell that they open every single spam email he ever sent multiple times and click every link and buy a lot of inane stupid shit from his ads just to desperately try to pretend to themselves that they actually have friends to send emails and packages to them (it's just making them worse). Spam doesn't want to admit that his success was because of a Lightner so when Tenna asks Spam just mentions a vague 'benefactor'. Tenna is so insistent and curious about it that Spam just gives him a random ass name to make him stop asking. And he comes up with Mike because they'd been airing The Office reruns for months and Michael Scott reminds him of how Tenna acts way too much. He thought that would be the end of it but didn't expect Tenna to cling to that idea of someone helping with everything so much as to turn 'Mike' into his imaginary friend and expect to actually see him at some point (funny tv with attachment issues and every disease). So when Battat and the others start pretending to be Mike to get Tenna to quit getting upset, Spamton just kind of lets them because Tenna's happy about it and the fallout of telling him there never was a Mike is not worth it. But he still kinda hates how overdependent Tenna is on them (wants it to be him) and finds Battats constant digging for the secret of Mike to be obnoxious and threatening lol.
