My son was an an election researcher intern working with CBS in 2012. He ended up in his dream job with NBC Sports. He joined the Navy Submarine Service. In 2021 he took his life. His name, Ethan Butler. He did good works all over.Handing out school supplies in Kenya. We miss him terribly.
I’m more of a mountains guy but I’ve lived at the beach and now in the desert. The desert has a beauty that sometimes takes a little more effort to discover but it is no less spectacular.

I’m a docent at a WWII B-17 bomb group museum just for the chance to work with a couple of 100 plus year old veterans so I can listen to real history from the people who lived it.

Lost my wife in 2011 in an accident on our farm in NorCal. Remarried now living in the Sonoran Desert between Phoenix and Tucson. Lost my Naval Submariner son, my hero, to suicide in 2021. I’m just tired. What happened to decency, kindness & empathy?
