Libraries and larger parks pretty much, there are a handful of cities that have been working to deploy public toilets but it's still pretty rare. The large transit stations don't even have toilets where I am lol.

Sorry, I meant a relative rarity specifically in the US. I was pleasantly surprised by the availability of public toilets when I was in Australia as well.

Yeah, I'm pretty well traveled and actual public toilets are a relative rarity. So much so that I'm pleasantly surprised when I find one.
