Our thanksgiving was far and away better than last year. However, it's still an over stimulating trip when you go from our suburban house with two dogs and Ami living here part time to a half finished farm house with 5 dogs, 2 children under 6, countless chickens, goats, alpacas, and horses.

For some reason, this year I'm really struggling with grief in regards to my dad. 1. Thanksgiving was his holiday. 2. It upsets me that my dad is never going to meet Ami.

My favorite burrito place does not participate in any meal delivery service and it's a BUMMER.

Guys, my family has been going through it. Like not in a catastrophe way (thank god) but just in a these things are hard and take up a lot of emotional space and energy.

Y'all I had a dream I befriended a lost pink cockatoo and as we were in the pet store asking questions about how to care for it, it stung me near my eye.
When my parents asked the pet store what to do, the guy said "take her to the morgue, there's nothing you can do."
