And yeah, I have a lot of faves in GBF (including Djeeta), so I'll gladly set aside time for their holiday/birthday lines. Wind isn't my strongest element either, so the crystals (and some gold moons) would be very good compensation XD;

I did this time (birthday started during final round 1)! I've been looking at the birthday lines instead of GW as a consequence ^^;

My first intro to Evangelion was episode 22 (director's cut) on The Anime Network. Did I, age 14, have any idea what was going on? No. Was I scared and enthralled anyway? Yup. :D
In the end, I watched the last few eps first and *then* backtracked, which a wild experience. I recommend it, kinda?

As a Black Cat fan, I often wondered if the author would continue the story like he'd planned. Now I'm crying happy tears; he went on to make something greater, *and* he was able to give his past self creative closure.

I'm flattered! At least with STRONG ENTRY she had the diving suit on (unless I have them backwards), for the backflip she just had a diving tank and I was both laughing and mentally fretting "Are we at the point yet where realism kicks in and she'd crack her head on the bottom, or...?" XD;

There's still (maybe more?) moments of that "Oh yeah, they're 9th graders" in Rebuild, but yeah, Asuka is *actually* mature in ways her OG self could only dream of, for better and for worse.
(Even Kaworu kinda gets a silly youthful moment in 3.0, or maybe that's just my bias)

We really missed out on another "HEY SHINJI WATCH THIS :DD" moment from her! :( She's still great in her own right, but rewatching the OG show I do miss how she'd just Do Things without thinking about the consequences

Right? Even though the oceans are (suspiciously) for the worse in Rebuild, there's an entire marine conservatory working to fix them! It's such a small detail, but it really adds to the sense of hope.
