Oh, cool! I'm just a solo freelancer and am not planning on growing. People have recommended Bonsai and HoneyBook. Do you agree? Or have others to recommend? Thank you so much!

This is so true! I remember being in a faculty meeting next to someone who was on his ipad (looking at photos, writing emails, reading the news). I had such a difficult time concentrating! Thanks for this research!

Totally! Those ups and downs are so challenging. But I really believe that the hard days of writing help us get to the progress too. It all adds up over time as long as you keep working away at it. Good luck!

That's great! I'm so glad you have an editor like that to work with. The best kind!

I hope your acquisitions editor is on board with your accessible language. Writing in a way that can be understood extends the reach of academic work. I just finished reading Leonard Cassuto's Academic Writing as if Readers Matter, who I think would see that comment as a big complement!

Thanks, @allisonvandev.bsky.social! My groups are small, provide guidance about key aspects of scholarly writing, help you make time for writing, and work to build community with fantastic scholars! They start in September and scholarships are available.
