If I can get a full refund, and maybe sell my Index as well, I might look at getting a Pimax Crystal Super when that comes out

The Beyond 2e has taught me about what really matters to me in an HMD, and weight is less of an issue than I thought

It's a headset of a lot of compromises to achieve the light form factor:

Lower brightness/washed out color
Narrow FoV
Persistence Blur
Glare (Which I've been told by others in the Beyond Discord is due to pancake lenses)

I'm personally sensitive to the way it presses on my nose bridge too

I tried out the regular strap (with and without the top strap) and spent 2 hours in VR trying to adjust it to somewhere comfortable, but it's still either too loose to stay on my face, or painfully pressing into my upper nose and cheekbones.

I'm looking through the "First Impressions" thread on their Discord. So many people are saying the glare is a big improvement over the Index.

The glare on the Index was noticeable, but nowhere NEAR as bad as my Beyond.

Now I'm worried mine is defective in addition to the comfort issues.

I've read that some people were able to get their face cushion adjusted, and that helped with the glare.

I had to scan my face with a BestBuy display iPhone, and my hands aren't super steady.

Maybe that messed up my scan and caused some of my issues.

I might have a particular sensitivity with pressure on the inner parts of my face (nose, cheeks, around my eyes).

I wear contacts because I find glasses uncomfortable, and the Beyond feels like someone's pressing glasses against my face.

I'll try using the other strap when I get home tonight. I have some USB C headphones I can use instead.

The glare on my lenses seems like it's coming from behind the lens, like looking into a fishbowl with a flashlight behind it.

I have the audio strap and I can't stand the way the headset puts pressure on my face

The lightseal seems perfect, but somehow there's a ton of glare on the lenses and a noticeable amount of motion blur on the displays

It sucks, but I think I'm gonna ask for a refund :(
