That was certainly brave but Americans should be proud when our national heritage & image is celebrated in other languages. Besides 75% of us don't the words in English anyway.

I drove past the reliably mega-MAGA Trump flag flying places yesterday on the main highways in our rural GOP county to see if the flags were still displayed - they weren't. Through the Trump Coin & ICE & Qatar & DOGE & Tariff & National Guard & Ukraine etc issues they stood proud - no longer.

Given the costly slog Ukraine has become, I've been a little surprised at Russia's clandestine testing the resolve & defenses of NATO neighbors - unless Putin is betting the US will retreat & NATO fold. But why back a flailing, over-matched SA oil dictator - a fake bargaining chip for Kiev?

A mere mention should not constitute an indictment without context. Epstein liked to fancy himself as an intellectual worthy of interaction with the brightest minds & power players. Also was it pre or post conviction? If details lean towards sleaze - the hell with any of them.

What do you mean by "free pass?" A lot of Trump voters were unwittingly voting against interest and also against the moral principles they'd want their kids to value because they just didn't know or believe he'd actually being doing a lot of this most radical shit.

How is a "capitalist" arm twisting major corporations (Intel, Westinghouse etc) into giving US gov't 10% stock ownership in exchange for regulatory & other favors different from a "socialist" pressing to have some control over the means of production?

C'mon guys. The Rule of Law stuff is the thing that will save this nation. I am as angry & sickened as anyone at the ruthless provocation & attempt to trash our civil order through street bullying. But our fight must be in court, truthful media and ballots. MLK was right. We'll win.

After a quick read to include claims that some within young Republican circles were ambushing ill spoken rivals, I think it fair to doubt the sincerity of the comments but not the gravity. To a generation immersed in the lessons of WW2 none of this should seem amusing or OK at any age

Maybe it's our inherent tendency (IMO) towards risk aversion and valuing daylight over dark but I've noticed much more attention paid to how fast sundown arrives in the fall than how long days last in the spring - you notice too?

That was exactly my reaction. After all the administration has attempted & often succeeded in doing to challenge democratic norms and exercise authoritarian power, a meager 4% lead in trust for the opposition is disturbing.

That's mostly true but Bolton is significant in this moment because of his compulsion to shine a light on Putin's manipulation of Trump's naivete in international affairs & history as well Bolton's evisceration of the administration's inclination to abandon the post-war liberal order entirely.
