In case you ever wondered how a console with no z-buffer renders everything, here is a video of the raster line by line doing its job. In this case it’s rendering triangles using affine texture mapping (what PS1 does), but the sorting and overdraw would apply for any non z-buffered system

I implemented a circular buffer on the second SH2, allowing me to queue procedures that the second CPU processes one after another without my intervention.
Here it was previously running at 20 FPS. Video recorded on a stock Saturn

I had a timeline sequencer that could control the behavior of objects. This was used for things like platforms. Finally added the camera so now I can have cinematics too :). This shows Blender->Saturn export #retrogaming #indiedev #segasaturn

#PlayStation is now supported in the new engine!

There are still a few minor glitches to work out. I'm not using the GTE at all. Once that is implemented, it should lead to a significant performance boost.
