Her dynamic with Frak in the third season was... unexpected, but also interesting. Sora, being someone who doesn't have much interpersonal or linguistic intelligence, doesn't realize that Frak blatantly displays his feelings.

Her friendship with Arin is also incredibly beloved in the fandom (some ship both characters, but it's not a big deal). Her development from a girl who doesn't care about anything to someone more mature and caring about everyone.

Sora, as a character, was one of the best things to happen to DR. Her personality is that of a pessimistic, serious and socially awkward person. A significant mark was her true potential at the end of the first season of DR.

In the third season, her character ended up giving too much attention to Roby, but that's understandable, since she's just a girl in love, especially it being Wyldfyre. But what's more disappointing is that it seems she'll be resumed as being overprotective of her boyfriend.

In the second half of the second season, Roby was introduced, making Wyldfyre fall in love with him. The dynamic between them is funny, and how she seemed like every girl with a crush.

Until it was confirmed at Comic-Con that her past wouldn't be brought up (or being a priority) in DR, shattering expectations but still bringing hope to those who believed it would be something like Ninjago Legends.

She had a caring side and also cared about the dragons, especially Heatwave and later, Egalt, as they both possessed the Wasting Sickness. Her past is somewhat mysterious; many people theorized that she was Kai and Skylor's daughter.

Her wild and combative nature, for example, during the blood moon ritual, showed that she would be an interesting character.

Wyldfyre was introduced as a female version of the pilot's Kai, which "OG" fans considered "annoying" and "impulsive" (hypocrisy).

In the second part, she simply disappeared with Zane to explore the merged lands.
October 11, 2025 at 4:37 PM
In the same episode, Zane ends up "dying" from the electrical overload, and there was all the drama and his "death" soundtrack from Rebooted, taking away all the impact, and he's still rebuilt in the following episode and pretending nothing had happened.

Her debut in episode 4 of the third season was a relief. The promise that she would be developed in that same season (along with Zane) drove all the fans crazy with joy, but it was just an illusion.

Her existence in DR is somewhat... pointless and underdeveloped. Her absence wasn't mentioned as much as Jay's, and Zane genuinely showed he missed her.

P.I.X.A.L. isn't as developed as Nya, but she still demonstrated her value to the team as an engineer for the ninja’s mechs and vehicles.

The obvious thing that can be speculated is that she managed to redeem Jay (someone who had all his goodness shattered, hurt her in the tournament, swore he would hate her forever). An obvious case of the cliché “Nice girl redeems bad guy with her love”.
October 11, 2025 at 4:33 PM
At the end of the season, she being attacked by Zarkt several times and almost dying she is miraculously saved by her “beloved” Jay because “being with her makes him want to be not a terrible person.”
October 11, 2025 at 4:33 PM
In the second part of the third season, her relationship with the Jay got worse because she always brought up to him being a “ninja”, and he himself made an effort to not believe in anyone anymore, especially Ras who manipulated him, saying that he was an enemy of the ninja.
October 11, 2025 at 4:33 PM
She had received an ultimatum from him at the tournament, and yet she insisted on looking for him, thinking she could redeem him with words or even tears. They had bigger problems, but she decided to go look for her beloved.
October 11, 2025 at 4:33 PM
Her desperation to find him is understandable, but it seems like it's become a routine or her personality. An example was in episodes 14-15 of the second season, where she left the team to look for Jay (who had been exiled by Ras).

Nya is a well written character and her development was one of the best in the entire series. When DR was released, she still seemed like the same character as always, but over time, her character ended up being more focused on her relationship with Jay.
