My attempt a horror game in #GameBuilderGarage. It's deliberately lo-fi, trying to recreate the feeling I had as a child reading Marianne Dreams, a rather creepy book about a girl who's drawings come to life in her dreams. The code is G005 6NJ M8W.

The enemy balls are attracted to you when the opposite colour, there's a combo counter, the charge mechanic, and the difficulty scales over time. Fun fact, during the invincibility frames it looks like you turn invisible because the Switch only records at 30fps.

I decided to go back and properly finish an old #GameBuilderGarage game I was unhappy with. I made it alot more visually appealing and altered some parameters to make it fairer. It looks simple, but there's a lot going on under the hood.

I'd have liked to have had more targets to shoot at, but I maxed out the nodon count. It's a shame there's no way to have reusable components in GBG, each target has to consist of a lot of nodons.

I'm using tilt controls! I toyed with the idea of using the IR sensor to detect distance from the ground to raise and lower the guns, but it was too finicky. The audio-visual-haptic feedback is really fun with the rumble matching the shell cases ejecting.
