The opening sequence to this episode is absolutely insane. Incredibly oneiric and rich in visual symbolism, it sets up the entire episode's story in little over a minute.
I also love how it frames the retrospection as if it were an old recording projected onto a wall. Absolute masterpiece.

W does a lot of fantastic things to expand some Nadesico characters stories in general and I absolutely adore it. PoD Gai with his own Super Aestivalis is perhaps my favorite example of that.

The same issue has some quite cute and amusing postcards, featuring Prince Bundle from Goshogun claiming victory over various other mecha heroes and antagonists and a beautiful Charmuro pic by Rio Yagizawa. I love the silly Garma kite

Moderoids are available at almost every online shop that sells anime figures and kits, like AmiAmi, HLJ and so on. Good Smile Company also has official online shop where you can buy all their products.
No word on release date yet

This scene is even funnier considering how blatantly it is set up to happen. It is one of the very few episodes where Srungle actually gets visibly damaged and characters even comment on the parts it loses

It also features a scene that is a direct reference to the famous Last Shooting from the OG Gundam.
Srungle has a lot of references and cameos in general, but episodes animated by Masami Shimoda and Nishimura Motohide seem to be especially notable in that regard.

Episode 22 looks pretty darn good in general, with solid drawings and good boarding all around. I especially like how it uses reflections and gives us some cool glimpses inside of the cockpits

Like, seeing them in a SRW game at all is great, but considering how 30 handled the DLC series I'm not hoping for much relevance to the main story besides some fun cross series interactions.

My favorite example though is this scene near the end of the episode, where Marco opens the forbidden door and finally breaks the illusion. The final shot, where hand-drawn Marco stands in the middle of real ruins, is especially powerful.

(Rapid flashing warning!!)

Also, while the entire show is a collage of animation and real life footage, I think this is the first time they blend together so well. Marco's frantic run through the ruins of a palace is a good example of how cleverly Hirata mixes them together to enhance the surreal feeling

There are also a lot of examples of really creative and eyecatching framing

I really like how Hirata contrasts the colorful, dreamlike scenes where Marco enjoys princess Bidu'a's company with much more gloom and sometimes disturbing scenes where he roams alone around the unknown streets of Baghdad
