It's a very weird phenomenon. At least within the community, something like the G-Line should be expected to be sold out quickly but can be reliably found to still be in stock way late into the preorder period.

But P-Bandai pre-orders don't seem to go as quickly as they do in Japan. The special coating Banshee preorder was available all the way up to the end date of the preorder period. Only very specific kits ever seem to go out of stock immediately.

Speaking from the US, there was no lottery system, only 1 unit per person. But it's already sold out.

Would've loved to see the Gouf and the GM as kits, those were some killer designs. But given overall reception to the designs and the series as a whole, I'm not feeling overly optimistic.
