Octavia was kind of relieved at the change of subject. Since everything lately has been revolved around that.

“Uhh.. A lot better than previously, I’m still struggling with keeping my power going. It’s straining to use.”

She explained, looking at her hand.

Octavia frowned at this.. Maybe she really had been too tough on him. Yet, she didn’t want to forgive him too quickly, especially after all those empty promises.

“It’s nice to know he cares.. But, I still feel so wronged for everything else.”

Octavia thought back to the trial she saw on TV. If she had to be honest, she stopped watching after seeing Stolas almost be executed.

“I stopped.. When I thought my dad would be killed. I.. I couldn’t stand to watch anymore.. Why?”

Octavia finally took a sip of her lemonade as she listened to him. She realizes a little.. She probably was too harsh on him.

“It’s also hard on my end… Since mom and Andre took my phone.. They really don’t want me talking to him.”

Octavia sighed and nodded her head at him. She knew he was right. She shouldn’t let all of this continuously get to her.. It’ll just take time to feel okay.

“I’ll.. Try not to. When have you last talked to him? My dad I mean..”

She asked, looking at him.

Octavia processed his words, she was thinking on it. She sighed and folded her arms over her chest.

“Yeah.. I guess you are right. I just miss him. He was the only one I felt.. Truly safe and okay with. So to just see.. Everything that’s happened. It hurts.”

She muttered, she sniffled a little.

Octavia went quiet at his words, she looked away. She knew he was probably right, it was just hard to forgive him at the moment.

“I know.. It’s just, I can’t help but feel like I’ve been.. Abandoned. I’m just tired of empty promises.”
