In short, germany profited massively off gas and by doing so created a huge geopolitical threat, even after 2014 they inisted on increasing pipelinecapacity. Now that the chickens have come home to roost, it suddenly is a EU problem?

If you look at the price spread between lng and pipeline supplied gas and the current sorry state of german energy intensive industry(like basf closing its ammonia factory) saying that germany hasnt profited off cheap gas is a joke.They're begging for their fix

yeah because after germany had the pipelines closed,it needed access to lng urgently,so what it did was using all the capacity in zeebruges while getting in a hurry to construct its own lng ports.Perhaps you could school yourself by reading the imf report of 2022
