Thankful for the last good thing at the bad place - @patrickzircher.bsky.social put together a tremendous coalition of artists to raise money for local homeless shelters. It was magic.

I re-read @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com and Dave McKean’s Signal to Noise every few years or so. Hits me in different ways as I get closer to the protagonist’s age. A beautiful book to revisit.

Never got to meet Ramona Fradon. I’ve loved her comics since I was a kid. I’m glad I have this Plastic Man drawing by her. She will be missed.

One my favorite comics of 2023 was Do a Powerbomb! by @danielwarren.bsky.social liked it so much that I bought the shirt and the book to give my bro-in-law for Christmas. Love this story even though I don’t dig wrasslin that much.

Alfredo Alcala appreciation time. I remember him inking DC titles in the 80’s. He dominated the art but I always appreciated it. This from Secret Teachings of a Comic Book Master - the Art of Alfredo Alcala. An inkmaster for sure.
