Overheard someone talking about the recent layoffs at DOI, & the Forest Service. He called them "trimming the fat and only lower level hires." This is someone working as a CONTRACTOR for wildlife surveys who also expressed relief over being "safe". Ok, bud. Hope your date got the vibes too.
