When I first saw this scene in Dune 2 it immediately reminded me of the opening desert scene in The Fifth Element.

Recently stumbled upon Ivandoe on HBO Max (Aus) and totally fell in love with its adorable anthropomorphic characters with Ivandoe himself channeling a lot of Matt Berry. I don’t know maybe I just love cute talking animals with larger than life personalities and lack of self awareness.

I love that in Laputa we can also interprete the fact that Mama ran faster than her boys meant she’s not just the elder figure but also the alpha in the gang.

Rewatching Night Sky the sci-fi series on Prime and being reminded of just how great JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek were in this show that showed such great sci-fi premise and navigating around issues of getting old. So sad for its cancellation of 2nd season but even in one season it gave us so much.
