There's also this. An earnest not-very-skilled beginner posting his work got half the fucking internet engaging in joyful collaborative celebration of his effort.

And have you ever read One Punch Man or Mob Psycho 100 - the ORIGINAL comics by ONE?

Why did I never think of that I always keep looking at my profiles and thinking „who the fuck is that why am I following them?“

what I like about Jax is what his character showcases applies to almost anyone struggling with anything:
Sometimes people don’t want help and actively will make you not wanna help them or unable to help them. Being in pain wont make us less flawed & being flawed wont make us undeserving of help

That was INSTANT did you practice that response in the shower?

People like you are what early 90s-00s Highschool movie bullies made fun of nerds for

he’s a victim of his own flaws, but he still hurts people, that’s the uncomfortable truth of these things people don’t like to agknowledge.

End of thoughts

Theres genuinely nuance to this stuff, Jax isn’t a good person, it’s hard to maintain the balance between being an enabler and just doing exactly what he wants and just pushing him away, sometimes people don’t want help and they won’t be nice at all about it
December 14, 2025 at 8:29 AM
I like that what Jax needed to truly show any amount of affection wasn’t someone like ragatha who’s just nice, he needed someone that would not only stand up to him, but who wouldn’t take his bullshit, wouldn’t bite the bait, that wouldnt just accept him pushing them away in silence

Jax is an interesting character because he touches the uncomfortable truth that…even those suffering and in need of help are flawed, in fact their pain and fear might make them more willing to push people away and keep them at an arms distance.

A line that stuck with me from Jax was „people are not pleasant to be around right before they abstract“ because it’s not only applicable to Jax but to a lot of people irl that struggle with mental health, their pain isn’t cute, they aren’t perfect flawless victims, they’re more often than not rude
December 14, 2025 at 8:17 AM
I don’t see a lot of show tackles the like, imperfect victim, someone who is genuinely suffering, genuinely needs help, but aren’t a pleasant person to help, you feel no satisfaction from helping them and so for a lot of people that’s enough justification they don’t need help

I will say that, I like how grounded the writing is when it comes to like, the nature of assholes, it doesn’t exactly redeems Jax but it does humanize him, it does root the nature of his actions in deeply human flaws

yeah you would say that

I think my thing is like, history and politics and complex, more complex than my little brain can handle, I write in fictional worlds to avoid that but that’s the same reason I can’t add those complex details that world building is actually good for, it sucks
December 11, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Ironically, it’s exactly because I hate THAT part of world building that I’ll rather set stories in fictional worlds because I don’t wanna deal with real life history and geography
December 11, 2025 at 4:19 PM
I love world buildout except when it comes to the part where you build the world because I fucking despise history and geography it’s so boring

Also don’t worry the Scampton one is a reupload
