I live in Ireland, love books, films, good TV, music especially Kate Bush, Springsteen & other 80s ish rock. Keen on quizzes, sewing, watching sports, musical theatre & art. Political lefty. I don’t answer DMs unless personally known

You’re so right. I was reasonably active, although not really fit, then got cancer, had surgery & then chemo. While going through it all, I became very sedentary & now that I’m thankfully well, I’ve found my back has seized & I’m struggling to do anything. It’s hard to get it back once you lose it.

Agreed 😂😂😂

I feel your pain. Tripe cooked in milk and onions would stink out the house for hours. Vile stuff 🤢

Love it. He looks like the bloke in the Trivago ad.

I love that. I’ve never seen a typewriter with a QWERTZ keyboard before, it’d be a recipe for constant mistakes for me. Hope you get on well with it.

I love that version, it’s very true to the novel, and beautifully acted, unlike the terrible recent one.

That’s fine by me 😂😂

I’d never heard of feijoas until reading this post. Googled, and now would like to try this exotic fruit. I’ve never seen them for sale in Ireland.

Kate Bush, real or in tribute form, has that effect on people. Her songs are works of art. I’ve always regretted that I turned down the chance to see her live on her first tour (1979 I think). I thought I’d catch her next tour, never thinking it’d be a 40 years wait, & then I couldn’t get tickets. 😢

I went Groucho first too, and once you have that image it’s hard to dislodge. Mind you I’ve just realised I was getting Karl Marx and Stalin mixed up. It’s all those big moustaches 😂

Oh it’s so worth finding. It’s a film that makes me laugh every time I watch it. It’s dark humour, and so clever and so funny. Both he and RDJ are excellent and spark off each other wonderfully. I love it and highly recommend. I want to watch it again now.

My favourite of his films is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The chemistry between him and Robert Downey Jr was fantastic and he showed he had real comic chops. I’m sad that he has gone. RIP Val.

I’m Irish and trying to buy as many Irish products as possible, but I also buy British, European, Canadian, Japanese etc & just avoid US products wherever I can. I say this with love and as someone who lived very happily in the US for a few years. But fu*k the orange stain and all he stands for.

Very obviously…a hit man 😂

Mark Bonnar is in the same category in my opinion. I don’t know much about Scottish cheeses, so I’ll have to say that he’s aged like a fine single malt whisky.

Thank you, will try this.

Thanks, I’ve just given them all a follow.

That’s useful. I’ve been here a few months now and I didn’t know this.
