Context: Mexico accepted US settlers in Texas but then they refused to follow the law, when Mexico tried to enforce anti-slavery laws the USians formed terrorist groups and declared themselves independent forming "Texas", when outgunned the US invaded Mexico and occupied / stole half the territory.
