And that brings us to our problem. There is no mech warfare without exploitation. And yes, there are success stories, like Nexus Alpha's pilot who by all accounts seems to be a mostly adjusted individual but, crucially, she is an 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳. This is'nt a healthy industry and we have to reckon with that

So how do we fix this?
Frankly, I have 𝘯𝘰 idea. This is a problem without a solution as long as these private militaries remain obsessed with building 100-foot tall fuckrobots, and, if I'm entirely honest: I can't blame them.
I've never been in a cockpit but I 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 it smells crazy in there.
