Wish the "DO SOMETHING" crowd would realize Manchin and Sinema would likely never confirm a replacement during the lame duck, and that's probably the main reason why Sotomayor isn't retiring.

Yea, I suspect Sotomayor is sticking around not due to Dems' skittishness but simply because they already know they don't have the votes for it.

TBH I prefer the public silence if the alternative is leadership pointing the finger the way Nancy is doing. Keep family business in private till you can present a united public front.

Yea it’s a real problem if Crystal is your longest running Asian HW, and I will miss her but that speaks to a big casting issue, so I cut Katie a lot of slack.

It made me extra uncomfortable bc the Asian HWs *never* get an easy entry into ANY of these casts, and it was all these white women ganging up on her.
