Pleased to be giving mine and Andrew Duncan's new anthology its London launch. Many thanks to Iris Colomb and Jeff Hilson for the invitation. The woods of Arcady are not dead and their antique joy is bang up to date (apologies to Yeats). Sunday, 9 March. Be there.

Incredibly chuffed to be part of the York Literature Festival - my thanks to the organisers for the invitation, and here's looking forward to seeing some of you on 6 March. Among other things I'll be talking about the new Dylan biography, published by Reaktion Books at the end of last year.

Pleased to have a section of my rather tongue-twistingly-titled mini-epic York Walls Walk Work included in the new issue of Black Box Manifold. Many thanks to the editors, Adam Piette and Alex Houen for including it; it's good to be in such fine company!

Some proper snow up in Kirk Hammerton, so time to do the proper Yorkshire thing and go out for a stroll wearing a T-shirt.

A Dickinsonian Hardyesque Ahead of 2025

A Swerve in the local Lane -
It seems Prophetic enough
Of blind Futurity - & were I
Either that She or He, I might
Write you a Ream of such Stuff.

Great to see that Michael Sheen, on Poetry Please recently, made the Dylan Thomas poem 'A Dream of Winter' - long forgotten before it appeared in my edition of the poems - one of his choices (his brief preamble to the reading kicks in at 3'55" in the link - here:

Poetry lovers, Waterloo Press have at last put mine and Andrew Duncan's anthology up on their website to buy. Arcadian Rustbelt is a generational landmark, 300 creamy dreamy pages bearing the work of 28 fab 80s underground bards. Go on, you know you want it...

A lovely traipse in beautiful weather up the Nidd gorge above Knaresborough, with a couple of visitors from Swansea, last week. Never got lost (well, for more than ten minutes, anyway) - and yes, that is an Easter Island-style face on the rock in the last photo!
