Take a detour and add a little keybind menu. How long could that possibly take? I'm sure you'll knock that out in a couple hours, no biggie right?!

This rabbit hole was like 2 damn weeks of my time!

I forgot to put a cap on the customer spawn rate and ended up with a retail apocalypse 😂

Been a while #screenshotsaturday! Here's a new feature I've been working on for "officially" claiming land for your shop. It isn't a hard restriction, but instead an incentive to keep your shop in a specific area by granting bonuses to your shop's popularity and item values!

🎲New Dice Effect: Stop Loss📉
A dice effect that triggers when the current price would result in a loss of +20% to let you close out the deal at a 15% loss instead.

The idea came to me after my opponent rolled a 6 three times in a row and I got pissy about it. 😂

Goofed up on the AI and left the Tavern Keeper wandering the map. Calling her over to the shop register was apparently too much effort for her and she gave up half way through lol. "Screw it, just yell your order from across the river!"😂

So while setting up the shops, I thought it would be nice if you could see at a glance what that shop's "Featured Merch" was without having to go through menus. These displays will update daily to show any high demand items the shop has!

Literally all you had to do guys! You wanted pikachu tails? Lean into that shit 😂

I got so distracted ranting about that mega Raichu design, I almost forgot to post this.

🎲Gobutiko will be in the Cozy Job Simulators event on Steam! Is beating your customers with dice to siphon more cash cozy? Probably!

Image 1 is Raichu (it's not that creative, but still Raichu). Image 2 is NOT a Raichu, it's Vampire Pikachu. Somebody couldn't imagine a world where anybody would choose to evolve their mascot and thought "let's just keep denying Raichu it's identity so the kids can keep their tiny plush rat". 😤

Been a while since I tested haggling with the animations turned off...

Between the speed and all the effects going off this is damn near indecipherable 😂

Here's the first iteration on the UI for Customer Effects. I figure having it only show names first with a prompt to view details is a good way to save on space. Though they won't usually a full set of 3 equipped.

I've needed to make this tool for a while, but kept putting it off. It's a tool for quickly adding/editing translation keys/text without needing to go mess with my CSV file directly. I can even preview how they'll appear in a RichtextLabel!

It's ugly, but it works! 🎉

Cooking up some broken builds, today's meal🔥:
* Rolled 1s explode to heal 10 composure
* Rolled 1s trigger an additional roll
* Triggering PIP bonuses moves the price 5% in your favor, while healing your opponent's composure by 5

Watching these go off is immensely satisfying to me 🫠

I decided to speed up the shop building a bit. As much as I enjoyed watching this goober throw every item by hand, it was starting to add up a bit! So now we're taking on a blue printing approach and just commit to the build once we're done drawing.

I sort of forgot I had applied to this event, otherwise I would have prioritized getting the 2nd play test up and running for this event! 😂

Oh well! In the mean time, follow along for some goblin dice rollin' shenanigans

🎲Gobutiko🎲 is going to be in the #DebutFestival, running from August 7th to the 11th! Woohoo!

While it won't be playable just yet, give the game a wishlist and follow to get notified when the next play test starts!

I played recently as this guy. I ate a lot of canned corn from this brand as a kid

Got a working mix of both newly spawned customers and pulling from whoever is on screen! They seem so excited about a goblin casually dropping a giant cash register in the middle of town to sell them stuff 😂

Refining a few more systems with the shop, this time making sure customers spawn off camera but never too far away so you're not constantly waiting on them.

There's also a fail-safe to just spawn em at the register if they can't find a good path.

While decorating, I kept getting frustrated thinking that I just wanted to swap to one of the objects already on screen instead of going through the menu again. So I added a Copy function!
