An op-ed from Angel City midfielder Elizabeth Eddy called for "a clear standard" to address a problem that doesn't currently exist.

Started in this league as a player. Now I stand in it as a leader. With that comes the responsibility to champion what makes this league and game special.

P, you’re exactly what makes our space special. Wherever your path takes you, whatever kit you wear, know this: we’ve got your back. 💪

Bold statement considering that a few years later we had one who lost an election, publicly contemplated a coup for over a month, ended up not going through with it not because he lost the election but rather because he was told it wouldn't work, and THEN his own party tried to hang him for stopping

@nytimes.com When the alert for this article popped up on my phone, Bob Menendez was identified as "disgraced" former Senator

I didn't get a sticker. But I did this. And I gave what money I could. And, um, I think 19 shifts of knocking on doors. And I'll know if I #CompletedTheAssignment on Jan 20

I NEED YOUR HELP

This is not my first rodeo, I've been knocking doors for a long long time. But this is the first election where a member of my immediate family, someone I love very much, and who I could NOT be prouder of, has been directly threatened and demonized by one of the candidates -->

@npr.org good grief use unbiased language!

Saying people were involved in the " #stopthesteal movement" is flat out lying.

The most accurate, neutral way to describe them is "people who tried to steal the 2020 election."

You need to do better

@titonka.bsky.social still normalizing traitors. "Tom Emmer, who has been playing Walz in Vance's debate prep, he called Walz..."

"Tom Emmer, who tried to steal the 2020 presidential election..."

@npr.org maybe tell the truth about 2020?

Deepa Shivaram on yesterday's politics podcast said the biggest story following the election was Trump's refusal to concede and his lies about it

Recently finished this and really liked it! As the choir the book is preaching to, I didn’t expect much new stuff coming in, but I didn’t know the extent to which Dred Scott and anti-Brown forces all used originalism. Maybe the best argument against it.

Just finished @audrelawdamercy.bsky.social’s The Originalism Trap and found it extremely well-reasoned and inspiring, and maybe most important for someone who rarely reads book-length nonfiction, very readable! You should go get it, especially THIS weekend

@oyousef.bsky.social Hi! Heard you on npr politics pod, and curious about decision to describe Mike Johnson as open to "subverting" elections and affiliated with pastors central to effort to overthrow 2020. Why not tell the truth that he led a fight to steal it?

@npr.org Hi I listened to tonight's politics podcast and I heard a lot about impeachment hearings but it sounds like you might not know that most of the people leading those hearings asked a judge to nullify the 2020 election

I have to think that if you knew that, you'd mention it
September 29, 2023 at 12:46 AM
@steveinskeep.bsky.social why do you keep whitewashing people like Kevin McCarthy? Just heard your up first segment on possible shutdown and him trying to stay Speaker, and no mention of him trying to overturn a presidential election

HOW is "betrayed our country" not relevant to this story???
