Morning thought: Is Mark Madsen the basketball coach equivalent to Sonny Dykes? All offense, no defense?
Don't get me wrong, I think Madsen is a great fit for Berkeley. But, c'mon, start defending at the 3-point line and blocking off in the paint!

Yesterday, at Cal ROTC swearing-in ceremony at halftime, non-stop applause for the recruits, but lots of booing when oath read to "obey the orders of the President of the United States" and then even more booing when presenting officer thanked Jim Knowlton for the ceremonial opportunity.
