Hi ! This is a very interesting study !

I have not found a species list in your paper nor your supplementary information. Maybe I just didn't see well, but could you help find it please ? I would like to know which species were tested (not only the orders) !

And what do we know about the effects on populations? Could this ultimately skew the selection of individuals who can have offspring, as well as social dynamics?

I wonder... are the long-term effects on populations and the environment being taken into account? Medicines are not harmless; can't traces of them be found in urine?
Can't they pollute the soil, waterways and carcasses consumed by other predators? Isn't there an underestimated risk here?

The secretary bird, is specialize in kicking its prey - some may see a reminder of the crane kick here - reaching 194 N in 15 ms !

Secretary birds are iconic members of the sub-saharan savanna habitats. They are elegant, precise and efficient martial artist.

Is it a wader 🌊? Is it a professional human Kung Fu fighter in disguise 🥋?

No it’s the 🪶 Secretary bird!

This funny looking raptor, walks on long slender legs and wears a crown of fancy feathers, but his predator is actually a real martial artists ⚔️.

Deforestation might help this bird expanding into areas that would otherwise be suboptimal. But habitat loss and pesticides may cause decline in population. Notably, boa constrictors are are natural predators.

Roadside hawks are one of the more vocal raptors especially during courtship and aerial displays.
Least concern.

They usually catch prey by perch-hunting 🪾 from branches or fence posts, and then dropping or gliding down onto targets. They can even take advantage of grass fires🔥 , risking their own feathers 🪶 , or army ant swarms in order to catch insects.

They are highly opportunistic predators, preying on insects 🐜, spiders🕷️, reptiles 🐍, frogs , small mammals like guinea pigs, opossums, hares, bats 🦇and Deppe’s squirrel, some birds, eggs 🪺and nestling of Sand-colored Nighthawk (Chordeiles rupestris).
