-can only merge if both consent.

Figured this one could be fun cause one side can get absolutely messed up and the other half can just carry them through the dungeon, heheh.

Status Split Medallion
When equipped, the medallion splits into two and the user's offensive and defensive stats are boosted before splitting into two bodies, with offensive stats going to one and defensive stats going to the other. When split, the medallion is unequippable and the two halves-

Fair enough~! Hope you do lots of fun things with her :)

An example of this in the wild is the singer Kano (鹿乃)
Alternatively you can use the katakana ノ instead, so 赤ノ前. The Vtuber Tsukino Mito does this (月ノ美兎)

Fun character! My suggestion as a weeb/Japanese nerd: you can change it from 赤の前 to 赤乃前 to make it more properly name-sounding! 乃 is an older kanji that was used in traditional Japanese names in this exact context (usually sounds kinda old fashioned but I think that fits her)

ProtonDB will tell you how well a game runs and if anyone's had problems with it and what they did, the best version of Proton to use w/ it, etc.
Also for TDP wattage limiting: it's uncapped by default and the Steam menu only needs 5 watts
Also the OLED version has even better battery life
October 20, 2025 at 9:06 PM
A) more than framerate, battery life can be fixed by limiting the wattage cap under power settings. Most indie games can go under 10, and most 2d games can take 5-6. That gives you like 6-7 hours of battery life if it's not intensive
B) Steams verified system is shoddy, ProtonDB is a better resource

Generally haven't had this experience, but that's likely because I play mostly indie games. The worst I've had is having to find a custom controller layout & adjusting power settings, both of which are easy

Is a bit frustrating that more devs don't make their UI small screen friendly though

Yeah it really depends between artists. Some love friendly clients, others are very "why are you talking to me about non-work related stuff"
June 11, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Like, yeah the release is bad! It could only have ever been bad because you're giving them like 2 weeks to paint the Mona Lisa :p
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
-the next 2-3 years to make roughly 7-8 total. Basically, AAA game scale is already unsustainable, they're just trying to hide it.
You could say this is their fault for being greedy, but I think gamers have just as much culpability for expecting that much and getting angry when the release is "bad"
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
-you'll see that almost all of them only ever have dev cycles of 5 years unless they were in development hell. BG3, the exception everyone likes to tout, took 7 years and even then ppl criticized act 3 as being sparse. And if you look at most AAA games, they take 5 years and then get patches over-
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
the reason most AAA games have released as unpolished buggy messes is because the studio literally runs out of money and has to publish it in essentially "early access" and fix it up over the next couple of years to where it should have always been. If you examine AAA titles' development times-

-their future on the next game that they release. This makes investors extremely nervous and results in games that take no risks and cater to the least common denominator and the widest audience at the cost of depth, or "soul" if you want to call it that. And recently even that hasn't been enough-
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
-runway runs out to finish and ship the game, otherwise they go bankrupt. In the past games even at AAA lvl have been cheap enough that they had a buffer of about 2-3 flops before closure and could experiment. But recent AAA titles are so big and so expensive that the company is always betting-
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
To attempt to explain the problem w/ AAA games: the way AAA studios work is that they put a ton of money in one basket and bet that they can make it all back. However, they don't have infinite money, they only have the amt they made from their last game, called their runway. They have until that-
June 11, 2025 at 10:54 AM
-in AA studios (small-medium teams, the Outer Wilds or Deltarunes or Blue Princes) bc they have the mobility to make something thats more niche or weird but have the resources and experience to make it fleshed out and enjoyable.
June 11, 2025 at 10:41 AM
-indies over AAA titles, THAT will put a strain on AAA studios. But also the reason why AAA games are bad nowadays is rlly complex and is due to how they're made and the scale+quality gamers expect out of them not being reasonable anymore so I think the future is more-
June 11, 2025 at 10:41 AM
-and it's really hard to take a step back and see that the audience you're reaching is small.
Also, the best thing I think you can do in this case is just move on to indie games instead! It's not uncommon for indie games to be outperforming AAA titles nowadays, and if the zeitgeist moves towards-
June 11, 2025 at 10:41 AM
Mmm, I can see that point of view! Like... I guess my point is moreso that criticizing things is fine, but I think a lot of people labor under the false pretense that making callout posts on Reddit or Bsky or w/e WILL singlehandedly change the industry, and it's worse bc those posts will do numbers-
