CBS’ evening news program failed to cover Trump's pardon of Binance founder last night — while its counterparts all did.

Another reminder about the importance of fighting instead of folding.

This is an escalation, but admin has already been using gov’t power to crack down on media for a while. I know first hand. But, you have to defend free speech, not fold. (We are still fighting, but so far this lesson is standing firm better than caving).

Epstein story and depending on who you ask Trump’s embrace of or total capitulation to the deep state is breaking their brains.

He literally did the doublethink trope. War Is Peace

*clears throat*

Apropos and as a reminder, we (myself personally and Media Matters) are *still* being sued by X for a report.

Happy birthday Keyo! 11! My best friend.

She shares the day with a certain other person, but she far outshines him. Love you much pretty girl!

Joe Rogan explaining quantum computing.

“The sound of gay guys falling off a roof” might be one of goofiest and perplexing things I’ve heard in a while.

Is this like an actual idiom and I’m just not familiar with it or something?

Hegseth coming up on F&F. Kilmeade says new signal controversy might actually turn out to be nothing more than Pete demonstrating “lessons learned” from first signal controversy.

1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed.

Put simply: the right-wing has narrative dominance.

My org @mmfa.bsky.social did this study and has been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...

Ffs. Why do they keep doing this? Who is telling them this is a good idea or who isn’t telling them how impotent and goofy they appear?

2/ right media asymmetry in media gives them narrative dominance

It’s not what Trump posted that tells you where this is going; it’s how his people are responding to it that really tells you where this is going.

They look like they’re at war with the chairs they’re in. The struggle is real.

2/ Second part...

Don't feed into the impotency by shaking your fists outside locked building. Show up at the places where dots need to be connected. Show up. It's not complicated.

1/ Was fortunate enough to join @theweekendmsnbc.bsky.social this morning. Was asked what I thought elected Democrats should be doing right now.

My answer was: Show up. Not at locked buildings in DC, but places around the country already experiencing the harms of Trump admin actions.

For the people around Trump right now, this is not simply an exercise in changing government; this is an all out endeavor to to reshape our entire culture.

There's a strategy being executed here.

TikTok is choosing to do this at this point.

Even if you don’t accept that and think they haven’t gotten enough assurances from Biden admin, they certainly don’t need to message it this way.

They’re manufacturing this to help give Trump a pr victory.

We are inching closer to an info autocracy.
