Ryanair today confirmed it will operate a twice daily service from London Stansted to Glasgow from March 29th

This marks the first time the airline has connected the two airports since 2018

easyJet are to launch 4 new routes from Glasgow Airport next summer, with two being exclusive routes to the airline.

✈️Lisbon @ 2 weekly from March 29
✈️Pisa @ 2 weekly from August 1
✈️Sharm el Sheikh @ 2 weekly from August 1
✈️Malta @ 2 weekly from August 4

WestJet has announced a return to Glasgow Airport for the first time since 2022 with a 4 weekly service to Toronto.

The route will operate between May 15th and September 18th (YYZ departure) with a Boeing 737 MAX8.

The airline is also reducing its Edinburgh service from 11 to 7 weekly.

United Airlines has announced its return to Glasgow Airport for the first time since October 2019, with a daily service to Newark.

Despite needing to eat a massive slice of humble pie I must give praise to AGS Airports for getting this over the line

easyJet has added a Glasgow to Rome service in February and March 2026 operating 3x week.

Flights will operate Monday, Wednesday & Friday

WIZZ Air has added 2 new routes from Glasgow from October 27th.

Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino will both operate 3x week.

Glasgow and Milan were each others largest unserved markets in Western Europe, so the data suggests this route should do well.

The morning Tuesday and Thursday flights have been removed during this period

EDI-ADB removed and aircraft will allow RHO to increase from 2 to 3 weekly

EDI-PVK increases from 1 to 2 weekly using a free gap in the schedule on Tuesday

EDI-DLM reduces from 5 to 4 weekly allowing AGP to increase from 4 to 5 weekly

Approximate load factors for June, GLA-MLB on top in terms of load factor is welcome to see, but on the other hand EDI-EWR raises some eyebrows.

I have also included a comparison in passenger numbers to H1 of 2024 as well below;

Based on current schedules Jet2 are to base a 3rd Airbus A321 in Glasgow, with the type operating up to 6 daily flights from the airport from June 25th

The destinations below will see A321 service next summer from GLA

Jet2 has also removed its planned 4th A321 from EDI

Ryanair yesterday (9 July) celebrated carrying 7 million passengers through Glasgow Airport since it commenced operations in 2014.

The airline operates 74 weekly flights (37 each way) to 7 destinations, but did have a base at the airport which closed in 2018.

It is also worth pointing out I haven't seen any promotion of this route from Glasgow Airport despite it being announced in November.

You would think seeing as this route operates to a destination not served from EDI in Winter they would be promoting it.
TUI's new Glasgow to Toulouse route has seen some modifications before launch.

All flights will now be operated with GLA based aircraft, with the MAN aircraft no longer being used on a W-Pattern

Flights will now commence December 28th rather than December 21st.

Since this post Glasgow Airport has seen a number of changes to its retail offering;

Stack and Still will move from its existing location to the unit the black arrow is pointing at.

The two units in red have been combined into a single unit which Primo Volo now occupies
