Aside from some material tear and wear, it's held on quite admirably. All of the zippers still work great!

This backpack's been in my daily use for close to 10 years now. Had to fix up one of the straps for a second time now, hopefully that'll help it last for at least a few more years :)

Made the tiniest dice pouch from some leather scraps to store the bone dice I bought at the medieval fair last weekend.
I don't expect it to hold up for long since the leather's so thin, but I really wanted to store them somewhere fitting and this took like 10 minutes to make so?? It's FINE

Finally made some braies! A bit too space much on the waist and not enough on the bum, but still perfectly serviceble. The drawstring ended up too short after braiding so I'll have to extend that a little bit.

Heretic legionnaires with SMG's and troopers with gas grenades. The SMG's are just sloppily chopped up bolt action rifles, but they look decent enough from a distance 😅

The NRP ruleset with their infiltration, speed and reliance on SMG's also reflect the tactics and equipment used by Finnish sissi/kaukopartio units during WWII. With some hellish influence, I felt it all clicked together quite well with published lore:

I imagine the Union in TC also sends people to fight in the faraway lands of the Levant, to join the forces of New Antioch. Before the Hellmouth of the North appeared, folk probably doubted the stories from the south, reluctant to send their sons and husbands to fight and die for a foreign cause.

A quick 700dc warband for Trench Crusade. One evening to kitbash and one to paint them, nice tabletop quality for me.

It was a really fun convention for me, I didn't attend a lot of scheduled programme but I also feel like I didn't waste a moment either! Got some really cool experiences and didn't blow the bank on merch I'd later regret!
Looking forward to taking on some more responsibilites in 2026! See you then!

Saw some banger TC cosplay, had the privilege of leisurely looking through a couple of Franchina's sketchbooks, bought the amazing map and got it signed by Franchina and Pirinen (!!), and by happenstance had my janky ass war wolf featured on the national broadcasting company's Ropecon article! Neat!
My partner cosplayed as Jean Vicquemare through most of the con, and on sunday we ran into a bunch of other DE cosplayers - shenanigans were had! Definitely a big highlight of the con for me :D wasn't expecting such chaotic fun just hours before the end of the con!

I debuted my Harry DuBois cosplay, a lot of folk complimented it and I was so glad to talk to a bunch of them about how much Disco Elysium means to us <3! The weather was dreadfully hot so it was very uncomfortable, but the beard and makeup held up! Success!

So, I went to #Ropecon 2025! (thread)
I debuted my Harry DuBois cosplay, a lot of folk complimented it and I was so glad to talk to a bunch of them about how much Disco Elysium means to us <3! The weather was dreadfully hot so it was very uncomfortable, but the beard and makeup held up! Success!

And they're DONE. I'm still not entirely happy with them but I'm so glad I managed to salvage them after my multiple fuckups 😅
There's several ways I could still make them nicer or more durable, but I think I'll leave those improvements for the next pair of shoes I make.

it's 4:28 in the morning, my fingers are worn and hurting but I finally cobbled this mismatched pair together.
Tomorrow I'll make some sort of fastening system for them.

Right! Stitched up the other shoe and it turned out without breaking! I went back to the same stitching style I used for the prototype, and with a thinner thread.
Gonna rebuild the failed shoe to match. It's gonna be a real Frankenstein's monster but at least they'll match 😅 mostly
