I had time during my reading week to give acrylics a go again after 5 years of watercolours. I struggled immensely, but was able to paint this cutie(8x8") for the gallery changeover & it sold this week. It makes all my struggles worth it to know someone enjoyed him enough to want to take him home.

My mom's dog, Layla, passed away unexpectedly last year so I painted this in her memory to give to my mom for Mother's day.

I was going to participate in the Endangart Challenge but only managed to do February's prompt: Uncharismatic. I started school in January and it's been really eating into my art time. =( Came out first semester with straight A's though, so can't complain too much.

Was inspired to paint this after our first week of snow. The nights were still and sounds were muffled by freshly fallen snow. Those nights always have such an eerie feeling to them. Here is a spooky snowy owl, watching, waiting...
