There has been a large Haitian population in the USA for 20 or more years. Ohio has always been the mecca for resettlement, not only Springfield, Ohio!! I've worked with a multitude in logistics/warehouses, in effect another industry that will be negatively effected if Haitians are deported.

Historically speaking, leaving the USA is no different than the Irish came due to the potato famine, or Jewish to avoid persecution or Cubans from Cuba. Americans expatriate all the time to Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. I took the step of getting both just to be one step ahead of the process if needed. 😉
