No politics, no human issues, just wildlife photography.

Even the cold blooded enjoy some time in front of the camera!

"Bode's Nebula"

Discovered by Johann Bode in 1774, this deep space object is incredible to view in person!

Our closest celestial neighbor, the galaxy of Andromeda.

The 31st deep space object catalogued by Charles Messier in 1764.

Not a great shot of it, I need to capture new datasets. These are littered with satellites and light pollution.

Astrophotography has been a passion since I bought my first Dobsonian telescope in 1998 and built my first "frankencamera" for it in 2009.

Now I have an incredible array of equipment and professional cameras, but the old days still hold a place in my heart.

My favorite subjects to capture, are shore and sea birds.

They just always have an amazing sense of their photogenic capabilities.

In a career, a long time ago, I spent hours waiting for perfect shots of deadly creatures.

Sometimes, they almost got the drop on me.

Most of the time, they just liked being the center of attention for a bit.

My other favorite shot of the Ocean Springs, MS bridge is one that I was incredibly lucky to capture!

A single lightning strike hitting one of the bridge lights. An epic display of the power of nature on the MS Gulf Coast!

A sunset shot of the Ocean Springs, MS Bay bridge. Taken in 2020.

One of my all-time favorites.

Some of my favorite postprocess effects is to turn great photos of seabirds into dramatic dark portraits.
