Well, one of the party members finally got the spell true sight and realized that their oldest ally has secretly been the Lord that they are have been dealing with.
And that's how he knows what they've been up to

The party has been assuming that this Lord that they have been dealing with is like some super evil guy that has spies literally everywhere. Because every time the party does something, he seems to know about it immediately.

So for context Very early on in the game the party met this local storyteller named cedric. Super chill illusion wizard who just likes walking through the city and telling stories to people. The party loves and trust him and they tell him the crazy shit they get up too.
