The ones suffering are the ones in fear all the time.
Reminds me of a saying that goes something along the lines of: Somewhere there's a fella in the middle of a forest blissfully unaware of how scared he's supposed to be.

I too am battle hardened from that era of burning rivers and students being shot by the guard. I know this is winnable with organization and urgency. The time has come to stand up and force change.
