Água Viva now has competition as my favourite Lispector. This was absolutely incredible. I’ve underlined pretty much every line.

Loved this. Complex, propulsive, deliciously sordid. Morante’s "dark symphony" confronts the ways in which, through delusion, fantasy and deceit, we fashion ourselves and each other. In LIES AND SORCERY, imagination is an essential, yet treacherous, mode of survival.

Currently reading the latest Virginie Despentes, DEAR DICKHEAD, and it’s quite the ride. Wild but also surprisingly gentle and empathetic. Another great translation from @terribleman.com too.

A privilege to be working on this AMAZING book. Seriously awesome synergy between translator and writer. Not out until April, but one to add to your wishlists now.

Thank you Lucy Scholes for this five-star review. I'm still spinning a bit from this one.

About halfway through this from Pol Guasch and it’s truly exceptional. A little like reading Lispector.
